The Blind Shake Rizzograph by Cheetah The Blind Shake has been tearing it up live for more than a few years now, in the Midwest and beyond. The unbridled energy of their live shows is unmatched by any band out there. The brothers Blaha (mike on baritone guitar and Jim on guitar) interact on stage, well, like brothers while Dave Ropers bombastic drumming seemingly drives the room into a frenzy. Quick and to the point is their style and they are always bringing something new to the table. Previous recordings include a self released ep and a fine piece of wax on Ft. Gezeppi Records entitled Old Lines Sore Bones. Enter Rizzograph, the Blind Shakes newest cd on Learning Curve Records. Released in October 2005, the long awaited full-length rocks from start to finish. The Blind Shakes live ruckus comes through clear with 12 songs clocking in at a mere 22 minutes. This is not pop music, but there are hooks galore. Im willing to bet that you wont mind having songs like Calling All Horses or Running From The Mail stuck in your head instead of some pop/punk rehash from the radio. The best thing about this band is that there is no gimmick. Pure rock from the gut, thats it. Seriously, what more do you need? Buy this CD from at their next show--you wont be disappointed.
